Windows 10 free update for Assistive Technology users, is coming to an end!

If you are a user of Assistive Technology and are running Windows 7 or 8 and are not aware you can still upgrade to Windows 10 free of charge, then you might want to upgrade quickly! Microsoft has advised that it is now closing the free assistive technology upgrade at the end of 2017. Windows 10 has been available now for sometime and is a very stable operating system. With the latest Fall Creators Update, released back in October, among other enhancements, Windows 10 introduced a beta version of Eye Control, which empowers people with disabilities to use a compatible eye tracker, such as a Tobii Eye Tracker, to operate an on-screen mouse, keyboard and text-to-speech experience in Windows 10 using only their eyes.

If you are an Assistive Technology user in or around South East Queensland (Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast) and would like assistance in upgrading your existing pc from Windows 7 or 8, Fusion Focus are able to assist in this process, but be quick, this is only available for less than two months!

We also want to make everyone with a disability aware, that Microsoft offer a free Disability Answer Desk: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/disability-answer-desk
